The Latin America market matters to Checkmarx, which is why wanted to understand awareness of application security risk among Latin American organisations and how they are approaching the challenge of identifying and mitigating code vulnerabilities. We surveyed more than 300 CISOs, Developers, Security Specialists and DevOps experts in the region to better understand the key trends and opportunities in 2022.

The results impressed us. Latin America is ready for transformation and adoption of the most advanced security technologies and sees automation as a critical factor in boosting efficiency and security. However, at present companies are slow to remediate identified vulnerabilities and struggle to evolve at the pace of threats.

This survey was administered online by Global Surveyz Research, a global research firm. The report is based on answers from 343 managers in Development, DevOps, Security and Project Management from LATAM countries including Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Chile.

 

Respondents were from company sizes of between 50 and 10,000 employees in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, software and technology, financial services, hospitality, and oil and gas.
